The impact of the Salmon in the Schools program simply cannot be overstated. Every year our partnership is reaching more students, schools and educators. This Salmon in the Schools partnership was launched in 2021 in the midst of the the COVID-19 pandemic, and the 2022 Salmon in the Schools release day events provided most students with their first field trip in over two years. SITS continues to provide essential field trips and engaging experiential learning in the outdoors for Washington State youth.

Salmon in the Schools not only instills knowledge of salmon and local ecosystems; it fosters Washington State’s next generation of environmental stewards. We look forward to expanding this program for years to come, connecting more students with salmon and with the natural world.
